160. warped coffee

This warped view of coffee is brought to you by Brendan Albano, Vancouver, BC. Brendan is Kate’s boyfriend, and I understand only a small portion of what he says and does. But I am always entertained. This made me laugh for ten minutes. Seriously. Brendan is an artist  and maker of stuff, and his website is here.

And seriously, I hope it sends you off into the weekend fully caffeinated, inspired and ready for more.

158. hoppy coffee

From Dianne van De Carr (also of coffee cups 65 and 66) Dianne’s glass studio is Confusion Glass.

“Phil and I recently visited the Palm Desert. In the background on the left, on the path is a jackrabbit. I tried all week to get a photo of one but they were too quick for me. This photo was from our balcony. I think it was enjoying the view.”

I don’t know if she means the jackrabbit, the coffee cup, or Phil. But it looks like the view and the coffee were appreciated.

157. slow down, you move too fast

Oh man, I hope you think this is funny. My friend Tom Walker lives in New York City, and sent this to me after I told him I was in danger of drowning in froth and foam (this was right after the coffee loveapalooza, and there was an abundance of sugar with the caffeine that day).

“Early morning coffee, NYC. Not sure there is much I can say except that far too many people here are always running down the street with coffee in hand. I prefer to sit and enjoy my coffee and hence avoid embarrassing coffee moments.”

Tom is a world traveler, talented art director and designer, enthusiastic cook, and friend of 32+ years, with two websites to follow, 122 Street Kitchen, and his own design site, here.

And you have to admit, it is kind of funny.

156. savory perks

From Craig Jenkins, my childhood friend (the real kind), who now lives in Austin, Texas.

“The Rio Grand Valley is a group of border towns along the Rio Grand River, separating the US from their Southern neighbors of Mexico.  I’m down here three weeks out of the month and have a bland colorless office that I inhabit with one other employee for a couple hours each day.  Savory Perks coffee shop is an oasis from the drudgery of working down here and being apart from my wife Laura.”
