If you’ve been hanging around, you know I like to take a short coffee break every 25 photos. Some coffee-related art, music, or witty video. I like to think of it as a visual palate cleanser. Today I am introducing you to a brilliant idea, Coffee Common.
Coffee Common is a new venture, created by a few famous coffee folk, with the collaboration of others, including Brian Jones of Dear Coffee, I Love You. It’s an opportunity for a conversation about quality coffee, and how we can support and honor the tradition, resources, skill, work, concern, passion and talent that go into each amazing cup.
One of the reasons I wanted to do this project (coffee|served daily) was the excuse to learn more about coffee. I wanted to appreciate each cup, and all that goes with it, not just drink and dash. By the way, the more I learn, the more I realize that coffee is way, way too cheap.
Coffee, collaboration, conversation (someday, in another post, on another blog, I will share my thoughts on branding as conversation….because that’s what it is). They’ll be doing their thing at TED, I believe later this week. I’m impressed and excited. I hope you are, as well.
So take a few minutes and poke around the site. There was a nice piece on Boing Boing this weekend, too.
And here’s your visual palate cleanser, courtesy of Coffee Common.
