Suzy Eynon, Seattle, WA. Suzy sent me the photo for coffee cup number 198, and then I saw these illustrations on her blog, Holding Hands with Strangers. They are charming and delightful and make me smile. Everything I seek in a coffee cup. I hope you are charmed as well.
198. hip to be square
Suzy Eynon, Seattle, WA. Suzy took this photo at Buchanan’s Coffee Pub in Boulder, Colorado in 2008 while she was attending school there. Her blog is Holding Hands with Strangers (which I think is an awesome blog name, don’t you?).
197. coffee angel
Phillip Brown, Wollongong, Australia.
“So there I was, another long day at University about to begin. Enough time before class to grab a coffee and relax before the day began. Caramel Latte. I add a little sugar, stir and sip. Glancing down I am greeted with the sight of an accidental coffee angel.”
I asked Phil how the rest of his day went. He said it was a good day, which just goes to prove that a little coffee praise goes a long way.
196. every artist needs his coffee
Tracy Lee Cantello, Chico CA. This is Tracy’s husband, ceramicist Chris Cantello, working on his new jewelry line. She calls the coffee his morning ritual. I’ve known Tracy and Chris for several years, though we have known of each other and have loved the same people for thirty years. So I am splitting the difference and calling her a longtime friend. Because it sure feels like that, in the very best way possible.
195. waffling
From the other Kim, who blogs (beautifully, if I might say so) at Mosey Along. “I was at the San Rafael Farmer’s Market this morning all by my blissful lonesome. Here’s how I treated myself after getting all my produce.”
Bliss, yes.
Kim is also part of the Mortal Muses. If you need a reason to linger over your coffee just a little longer, pay a visit.
