This is coffee cupping at Royal Coffee in Emeryville, CA. Do yourself a favor and double click on the photo (or the title), so you can see this one at a larger size. I love doing something a little extra special every 25 photos (not that every cup isn’t special, but every 25 is worth a bit of a celebration I think), and when I saw a cousin of this photo, I got pretty excited. Emeryville is only about an hour from my home…I wonder if I can do a cupping there, or if it’s reserved for friends with caffeinated credentials.
Tim owns Zocalo Coffeehouse in San Leandro. It looks like he takes his coffee seriously, so if you do too, it’s worth a visit next time you’re in the Bay area.
