“I took this breakfast photo a while back while doing my dissertation research in Cameroon. It’s not the best photo, but do you have any African coffee yet? I think this cup was actually brewed, but most coffee there is Nescafe instant – boy was I happy to get back to Common Grounds here in Davis!!”

Ritual Coffee Roasters, Oxbow Market, Napa, CA.
Easter Sunday was a little different for us this year. We skipped most of the usual rituals, but enjoyed a fine spring day. Drank coffee in the Chemex (special because it requires a few more steps and a little more patience), walking the dog, and lunch in Napa at Morimoto. After lunch we wandered (or perhaps rolled) over to Oxbow Market to meet our friends, Elle and Joseph, for coffee. Alex had Green Tea Ice Cream. Fine, lovely and appreciated.
