Yesterday was my birthday, and Steve and I played hookey and took a day trip to Lake Tahoe. We capped off the day with cocktails at one of our favorite spots (gosh, we’ve been going here since before kids..at least 25 years), Sunnyside. We skipped dessert (nothing seemed quite right, and I decided to wait until I found the perfect dessert worthy of the calories) and had coffee…which wasn’t that fantastic. But the view made up for it.
