Kate Barbaria, Vancouver, BC. Acme Cafe…and if the coffee weren’t enough, they have pie. Oh my.
(Kate’s my daughter. She teaches me how to take photos, but I taught her about coffee).

Where one is invited to linger…work, sip, sit, converse, appreciate. Coffee as a conduit to community.

My daughter Kate works in this hip (the lovely, unpretentious version of hip) and delicious cafe in Gastown. Everything, from the tables and chairs, to the open kitchen, the light, and especially the food and coffee, is considered, clean and good. Inviting. Welcoming. Just so. Another Vancouver cafe that trusts the food and coffee to come as they are.

A perfect little coffee house in Vancouver…one table, one couch, lovely windows, a tiny gallery, the owner, coffee and my daughter, Kate. This is the way it should be, all day long. If you’re in town, you should stop in and say hi. Innocent Coffee.
