Kate and I went into Sacramento yesterday afternoon to check out the new studio. We stopped by Temple Coffee and sat outside in the winter sunshine. Perfect.

“Our first winter storm system is approaching, dropping down from Alaska for a brief ‘hello’.The mid-afternoon air is turning sharper as the wind grows colder, grey skies etched with blue this morning are now deeper, darker. I have a brief window before moving on this day and meet a friend at Valentina’s, lattes beckon. We chat as the rain begins, hands warming to the cups, hearts warming too; there will be snow in the morning. . . . . . and another latte will beckon.”
