914. every cup tells a story

Paige Layno Winn, Raleigh, NC.

Paige had to send me this photo twice, because the gremlins in my computer act up every so often. The deal is, they act up when they think I need to slow down and connect with someone.  When Paige first sent me this, she simply titled it “His and Hers for Sunday mornings-in.” However, when she resent it, she added this: “My husband (Dan) used to make us cappuccinos every weekend and we’d sit on our porch with our dog and start our weekend in a fun, relaxed way. Dan died in 2009, and I’m so glad I took a photo of one of our cappuccino days with our his and hers Life is Good mugs!”

And that, my friends, is why I do this project. If I had stopped at 500 (like a sane person would have), we would have missed the moment and the story and the reminder that life is indeed good, especially with good coffee and good company.

Paige is a friend of Tonya’s (which makes her a friend of mine) and blogs about vintage campers (and her goal of restoring one) at ReCamp.

912. back at the temple

Melissa Zerofsky, Davis, CA.

Eventually all Sacramento area coffee lovers end up at Temple Coffee, and Melissa is no exception. Lovely. Excuse me, I think I need to go pay them a visit right now. Not kidding!
