“I just got back from a study abroad semester in France, where I woke up and drank a bowl of coffee every morning. That’s how they should serve coffee everywhere–by the bowl!”

Kate Barbaria, Eugene, OR.
Road trip home from Vancouver to Eugene. The Colophon Cafe in Bellingham, WA. I love that my daughter knows, without a doubt, that the way to let me know she’s safe, is to send me a picture of her coffee.

Kate and Brendan took a quick trip back to Vancouver last weekend, and visited the cafe where she used to work, Nelson the Seagull. I’m fine with Kate moving back to the states (even happy!), but I do wish she could have brought Nelson with her. Lovely, happy, cozy, delicious place.

Tonya, I can’t believe it is even a question. Take as many as are needed, no limits and no judging here!
