Friday morning at Mishka’s with Tracy and Mark. Trying to start a conversation that will change the world, or perhaps more humbly, make our corner of the world a little more meaningful. Davis, CA.
Thought I’d take you on a quick detour between coffee cup 550 and 551. If you are seeking yet another distraction from real life, look no further than Pinterest, my friend. Pinterest is an online inspiration board…you can create boards from other folks’ pins, or pin anything from the internet. I am sure there are lofty and important ways to use Pinterest, but so far, I just wander about looking for things that make me gasp, laugh or swoon. My boards are here. You should come play, really you should. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite coffee love pins.
From The White Daisies.
From Standard Design on Etsy.
There’s more…but we’ll save that for another day. Can I warm up your cup? See you tomorrow.
This poster has been around a while, but it still makes me laugh every time I see it. Hope you like it (and I hope you’re not drinking decaf). From Fake Science. Back tomorrow with coffee cup number 351.
I love Venn Diagrams. In fact, I think the world would be a better place if we all thought of ourselves as Venn Diagramatic with our neighbors (our next door and a few countries over). In the meantime, here’s a fun coffee Venn diagram from David Staffell at Ink Slip.
Graphic design and good coffee go together like, well, graphic design and dark chocolate. Or graphic design and great pizza. Or graphic design and fine wine. And of course, graphic design and a cold beer. But back to the coffee, Brian Jones of Dear Coffee, I Love You has been successfully blending the world of design and coffee for a while now, and inspiring many of us. His blog is fun and lovely. And like any designer worth his beans (little coffee humor there) he has posters:
Back with more coffee photos tomorrow.
It’s movie time again…a short, sweet video of the making of a lovely latte. I love the look of joy on his face, as much as I love the leaf in the cup. Enjoy. See you tomorrow for cup number 251.
A Twin Peaks moment to carry us over from coffee cup 225 to coffee cup 226. After all, we can’t rush the coffee.
Just a quick commercial break between coffee cup 200 (!!) and 201. This is pretty cute. More coffee coming soon!
