Tonya Russ Price, Charlotte, NC.
“Jimmy and Louisa met and work in a coffee shop, so of course we have to whip up some latte art! Awwww, I heart coffee too.”
1000 cups of coffee, one photo at a time
Thought I’d take you on a quick detour between coffee cup 550 and 551. If you are seeking yet another distraction from real life, look no further than Pinterest, my friend. Pinterest is an online inspiration board…you can create boards from other folks’ pins, or pin anything from the internet. I am sure there are lofty and important ways to use Pinterest, but so far, I just wander about looking for things that make me gasp, laugh or swoon. My boards are here. You should come play, really you should. In the meantime, here are some of my favorite coffee love pins.

There’s more…but we’ll save that for another day. Can I warm up your cup? See you tomorrow.
Brooke Appler, Oakland CA.
“I took this at the farmer’s market yesterday. Blue Bottle finally updated their cups and i love them! And I had so much fun reading my book over coffee after a road ride.”
Brooke and her bike, Homer, can be found wherever there is good coffee and fine friends. Brooke’s illustration blog Miss U, Love U, and her Etsy shop is Team Blue Bicycle. And of course, her Flickr photostream is here and her portfolio here.
Tonya Russ Price, Charlotte, North Carolina.
I can always count on Tonya for something fun for Friday afternoons. Cause I am pretty sure Tonya is all about fun.
“Austin’s Coffee & Film is the cutest little coffee shop, I was heading towards the Winter Park area of Orlando, trying to avoid the Mouse and drove by this little orange building. I had to do a U-turn in the road. I sat on the cute little porch, read my book, drank coffee and wondered what was going to eat for lunch. I’ll take vacation any way I can get it.”
Cindy, aka The Coffee Queen, Mountain House, CA. Barista’s Cafe.
“This morning my husband and I had a few kid-free hours and ran some errands downtown. We decided to stop for a coffee at the cutest coffee shop, Barista’s. Although we had heard great things about it we had never been there before. It was wonderful! Delicious latte! Latte art! Real mugs! With cool designs! Pastries! Antique Gaggia machine!”
Just goes to show that you can find love most anywhere.

That’s what the table says, so it must be true.

Kristine in Central Oklahoma.
This is the other half of Kristine’s anniversary coffee, that would be the one belonging to her sweet husband Scott. From Scott to Kristine: “Another blissful day spent together…over a cup of coffee. Nothing tastes as good as sharing grand imaginings and splendid dreams. I have never regretted buying a cup of coffee with you, for the memories are worth every penny.”
He’s a keeper for sure. Kristine and Scott, may you have many years and many, many more mochas together.
Back in the archives of coffee|served daily, Kristine kicked off our Valentine’s Day Coffee Loveapalooza (seems so long ago) by describing falling in love with her husband-to-be over a very special cup of coffee (coffee cup number 122). They got married and just celebrated their second anniversary with this coffee.
“It’s our 2-year wedding anniversary and we just spent today out and about. Did some shopping, browsing, and had some Korean food, dessert, and coffee. I had an iced cafe mocha ♥ it tasted so good on a warm sunny day. I wish everyday was like this!”
From Brooke Appler, Oakland CA. “Coffee date with my friend Alison, at Subrosa in Oakland. They have the cutest tree stump and terrarium decorations and serve Four Barrel coffee!”
I met Brooke on Christmas Eve at Chris and Christine’s. We discovered a shared love for blogging, bicycles, traveling, handmade stuff, photos of coffee, and the soon-to-be-born baby Avery. Luckily, she circled back with me, and shared oodles of coffee photos. She’s also the queen of bicycle camping, where I believe coffee is imperative. Brooke’s illustration blog is Miss U, Love U, and her Etsy shop is Team Blue Bicycle. Flickr here and portfolio here.
