553. saturday over ice

It’s Saturday, which means there will be a delicious (and I mean life-changing delicious) iced coffee in my near future. This recipe…try it, really. It’s the best.

Also, a chance to shamelessly, and enthusiastically, promote my daughter Kate’s newest project (along with her creative, delightful and oh-so-entertaining beau, Brendan), Mr. Boat-head’s Electrical Dream Ship. Launching in September, story here.

518. cold brew

Have you tried cold brewed iced coffee yet? I may be late to the party…but this is the best way to make iced coffee. (Seriously, the best, best, best).

Let the coffee grounds sit in the water (1 part coffee to 3 parts water) overnight, then drip cold. I used the Chemex, others use cheesecloth. You get a coffee concentrate that you can keep in the fridge for weeks Like it would last that long in our hours. Heh.

Oh, and happy summer.
