Steve at Mishka’s Cafe. I felt a little guilty for having coffee dates with everyone else, so invited Steve to join me. Not a bad idea, dating one’s husband. Taken with my iPhone, Shake It app.
61. top down
From one of my oldest (not that she’s old, we’ve just been friends for a long, long time), Leslie Flores. She took this as we were gathering our energy for a second round of scavenging for treasures and recrafting with eleven other women. Little did we know this wasn’t the end of the day, just the breathing point before round two. Leslie’s current project is making great wallets and other goodies from the work of her husband, illustrator Mark Ulriksen…check it out here.

54. coffee at maxfields
April, from Creative Apples. It’s from a Greek diner called Maxfields in Schaumburg (a suburb west of Chicago). Love the feeling of emptiness in this photo…like it’s just coffee vs. the world.
52. it’s all about you
50. from russia with love
The 50th cup at Coffee | Served Daily deserves a celebration. Lana’s photo from Moscow is perfect, don’t you think? She took this in 2007 and everything about it proclaims coffee joy. Lana’s Flickr stream is here, and her blog is here. Happy 50th cup! And…happy National Coffee Break Day! Look around, there could be some free coffee calling your name today.
49. turkish coffee paradise
From Lana V (aka lanamaniac) in New York City. “Taken in a Turkish cafe on Christmas Day, and it was indeed Turkish coffee, which you probably know is the really thick crazy espresso coffee. Except theirs wasn’t that good!”
I don’t know about the taste, but the photo is fantastic. I saw it on Flickr and contacted Lana right away. She’s has lots more up her sleeve, so stayed tuned. Lana is a MS Communications Design student at Pratt, and you can find her blog here. Her delightful flicker photostream is here.
